Gm Daewoo To Launch Gentra In September

Recommended Posts

GM Daewoo Auto and Technology announced last week that it will launch its newest product, the GM Daewoo Gentra sedan, in early September.

The Gentra is larger and more refined than the Kalos sedan, which it is replacing in GM Daewoo’s product lineup. Coupled with an all-new exterior, enhanced interior design, and comfort and safety features usually found only in larger vehicles, it is positioned between traditional small and compact cars.

The name “Gentra” is derived from “gentle” meaning genial, chic and smart, and the connotation is a sedan that is stylish, yet refined.

The clean exterior design features edged side character lines, hood character lines that extend to the front bumper, headlights and taillights with cylinder-type lamps, and round fog lamps. An optional rear spoiler and 15-inch wheels add a sense of sportiness and refinement to its progressive design.

Inside, the Gentra clearly breaks away from the typical small car. The use of new materials, soft tones and harmoniously integrated contrasting moldings give the interior a luxurious and sophisticated feel that one would normally expect in an intermediate-size car. A newly designed audio perfectly blends in with the center fascia, adding a refined, stylish look to the interior.

“The Gentra is not just a new small sedan. It is creating a class of its own with its fresh new styling inside and outside, its larger dimensions, its very refined interior, and its various upmarket amenities,” said Alan Batey, Vice President of GM Daewoo Commercial Operations.

“The Gentra is the smart choice for those looking for a spacious yet stylish car that combines the attributes of a compact sedan with the price of a small car. We are confident that with this formula, the Gentra will become a success in the domestic market as well as the more than 120 overseas markets in which it will be sold.”

The Gentra with a 1.5-liter engine had its world premiere at Auto Shanghai 2005 in April as Chevrolet Aveo. The new model dominated auto show media coverage, winning accolades from international journalists and visitors alike.

Vrea sa-i rivalizeze lui Lacetti Sedan? :-?

Earlier this week, GM Daewoo launched its new compact sedan, Daewoo Gentra, in Korea. In other parts of the world, this little car is known as the 2006 Chevrolet Aveo. Designed by Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, a joint venture between GM’s South Korean design center and SAIC-GM joint venture design studio in China, the Gentra/Aveo is being manufactured in both Korea and China. GM began selling it in China as the Chevrolet Aveo in July and has already enjoyed strong sales so far. It’ll be interesting to see how the new and improved Aveo does in the U.S. market when it arrives.

Super tare linkul maximus. Am apreciat textul care intra in detalii foarte specifice si face o analiza corecta si obectiva a masinii.
