  1. Hello! It's leather treatment week! 😊 I've been planning an intensive leather care week for a while now. This means I cleaned the leather seats thoroughly. I bought some leather softener from a small, but friendly company from UK (Furniture Clinic), I found their name on most of the "best leather care manufacturers" list, and so far I'm very pleased, it seems to work better than Fenice, which I used before. So every 1-2 days I'm applying a new layer of leather softener for a week, and I'm also using seat cover foils to help better absorption. The first few layers the leather absorbed faster than I could massage the softener into it. So it was demanding more and more of it. Only mechanic issue remains the harsh valve lifter sound for a few minutes after the first start. The left rocker panel was also replaced. Of course it was worse than it first looked, both the outer and inner rocker had to be replaced. I forgot to take pictures of the repaired rocker, next time I'll do it. Currently I'm looking for a fuel filler door opener lever, which was broken during the rocker repair. I can't seem to find any on the Polish and Hungarian sites, but I'm still looking for it in scrapyards. About the Citroen - it's doing fine. First imporant repairs and revision are done, it's not bad at all, only expansive thing to replace/repair is the ESP system, which causes all 4 error codes by itself. Used part won't do, because it too will break eventually. New one costs about 350-370 EUR. For now I'm keeping it. I'm literally floating in an incredibly cushy soft leather sofa with open sunroof 🥰 The worst of all is I don't see myself selling the Nubira because I like it too much, but rationally I don't need 3 cars at all.

  2. A evalua niste placute de frana, comparativ, si a ajunge la concluzia ca alea care "s-au uzat" mai repede sunt mai slabe mi se pare ca duce la concluzii pripite. Am aruncat efectiv la gunoi placute de frana extrem de dure (probabil ca ar fi putut tine 100.000-150.000 km). Recomand un echilibru bun intre placuta de frana si discul de frana. Aici ori mergi pe acelasi producator, ori analizezi bine variantele. Altfel vor fi resimtite tot felul de efecte secundare: zgomot mare la franare, discuri de frana zgariate si uzate prematur, lipsa de frana in anumite conditii etc. Am experimentat o gama extrem de mare de placute cu varii compozitii si, subiectiv, am ajuns la concluzia ca mie mi se potrivesc placutele ceva mai moi, dar cu coeficient de frecare ridicat. Inevitabil, uzura este mai rapida. Strict din experienta personala, niste placute de frana care sa asigure performante bune (nu de varf !!!) "tin" intre 30.000-50.000km pe fata, in conditiile unei masini doar cu tractiune fata. Pentru o aceeasi masina, placutele spate echivalente (producator, gama) ar trebui sa tina ceva mai mult

  3. Ieri tot prin Dobrudja, tot la Grupul Bode. Am schimbat putin strategia si am mers cu un program de adancime, care a dat ceva rezultate. Bidon de apa (deosebit pt ca s-a pastrat scrisul pe el) si vreo 2 nasturi romanesti, semn ca a fost cel putin un contra atac acolo, cutie de inlocuitor de cafea germana si o bucatica din gheara vulturului de la Pickel.

  4. Nu cred că erau strâmbe. Sau nu știu, cert e că mi s-a spus că trebuie schimbate împreună cu simeringurile. Am găsit în târg la Vitan supape de evacuare (în ambalaj GM). Azi a venit chiulasa de la rectificat, așa că intrăm în linie dreaptă. Sper ca mâine să cam fie gata. Altă chestie, azi se fac 26 de ani de la achiziție 🥰
