Bugatti Veyron Lansat

It has been a long time coming, but Bugatti has finally revealed the production version of its awesome Veyron supercar as these first official pictures show.

 

And after a series of problems in development, the EB16.4 Veyron has silenced the critics by smashing the top speed record for road cars with a spectacular two-way average speed of 252.95mph at parent company Volkswagen’s Ehra Lessien test track in Germany.

 

Powered by a 987bhp, quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16 engine, the Veyron finally betters the McLaren F1’s 240.10mph record set back in 1998. The million-euro supercar is unveiled this weekend at Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, France.

 

The Veyron’s 922lb ft of torque is channelled through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox to all four wheels, propelling the 1888kg Bugatti from rest to 62mph in an outrageous 2.5sec.

nu prea cred ca mai au unde sa o duca, oricum citeam pe undeva ca masina asta re real in jur de 3000 de cp , din care insa numai 1000 ajung la roti.. cica ceilalti sunt folositi pentru racire & stuff... pentru ca la masina asta principala problema tehnica este racirea imensului motor..

Pentru mine Veyron ramane un mare esec... Auzi, sa ia foc vopseaua cand incercau sa prinda 400km/h... Jenant... A, si as mai vrea sa vad teste mai cimplexe, nu numai cifre cu viteza maxima si 0-100... Teste ca astea facute cu Ultima GTR:

 

0-100 km/h 2.7secs

0-100mph (160 km/h) 5.5secs

0-150mph (240 km/h) 11.8secs

30-70mph (48 – 112 km/h) 2.0secs

0-100mph-0 (0-160-0 km/h) 10.3secs

100mph-0 (160 km/h - 0) 3.9secs

 

Si asta cu un motor de 640CP...

chestia e ca ultima gtr e pur si simplu un model de curse(nu stiu daca si alearga) facut sa poate fi folosit pe sosea.. pe cand veyron-ul se vrea un coupe ultraluxos care sa aiba performante cat mai bune(sau cele mai bune)... ceva in genul slr-ului , dus putin insa la extrem..

Nu pot sa zic decat ca va trece foarte putin timp si o vom vedea prin Bucuresti ... asa s-a intamplat cu toti bolizii ... nici nu a aparut CLS si am vazut, la fel si cu Maserati ... Cadillac Escalade ... si the list can go on. Sunt curios cine o sa si-o cumpere, daca va fi un vitezoman, va fi grav ... oricum, o sa poata sa mearga pe autostrada soarelui ... pe toata ... si va ajunge la drajna in 15 min :lavolan: .

asta nu cred ca o vei vedea foarte repede.. din cate am inteles masina e foarte foarte exclusivista.. maxim 45 de bucati(daca imi aduc bine aminte), care din cate stiu eu au fost deja vandute.. oricum , o buna parte din aceste masini sunt cumparate si ca investitie.. in loc de tablouri sau alte asemenea chestii.. nu uita ca totusi costa un milion de euro, si chiar daca prin absurd ar fi outut sa il cumpere, putin ar fi aia care ar si putea plati.. poate mai multi, daca se baga la un leasing.. chiar ar fi rupere faza cu rata de leasing cat un c-class sau un s-class =))

We posted details of Fisker Coachbuild’s 610-hp roadster back in May, and we’re eagerly anticipating its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Henrik Fisker, the man responsible for such drop-dead gorgeous designs as the Aston Martin DB9 and BMW Z8, penned the roadster, which will be known from now on as the Tramonto. The So-Cal based company plans to eek out a living selling 150 copies of the Tramonto, which it claims will do 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and reach speeds in excess of 200 mph. We’re sure Fisker has created another high-dollar babe magnet in the Tramonto, but we can’t help seeing a lot of Aston Martin and a little bit of Subaru influence in the grille treatment

Despre faptul ca merita sau nu, cred ca numai cel care ar putea cumpara si-ar putea da cu parerea avizat. ca parere personala din punct de vedere al designului merita (numai din ce am vazut in poze, chiar ii sta superbine daca i se mai pun si faruri suplimentare) atata timp cat cauti un gt superluxos, care sa aiba un nume greu in spate(istoria bugatti) si care sa aiba cat mai multa tehnologie in el

To fill the gap between the Passat and the Phaeton sedans, Volkswagen is expected to introduce a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive crossover. Expected to arrive in concept form in 2005, the actual production version should to be ready to launch in 2007.

 

The name "Sfero" was registered by Volkswagen in June of 2003. Insiders have told us that the Sfero will be a crossover between a wagon and an SUV, although all-wheel drive will not be offered

 

To lessen the development costs, Bernd Pischetsrieder and Ferrari-boss Luca di Montezemolo are said to be in agreement for a unique technology transfer: While Maserati will deliver the chassis of their brand-new Quattroporte sedan as a base for the new VW Sfero, Volkswagen will deliver the 4x4 chassis of its Touareg off-roader for the future Maserati Kubang SUV. This deal is actually quite interesting for both parties: while the Touareg's 4x4-chassis is regarded to be the best currently available, the Quattroporte's transaxle chassis allows an excellent weight-balance and therefore promises superb handling for the Sfero.

 

Another advantage of the Maserati chassis is the compatibility with Audi's V-8 engines. They are too large to be fitted under the hood of the next Passat - but they are said to fit perfectly in the Sfero, with the top-of-the line engine expected to offer as much as 450 horsepower.

 

Other luxury features include a new active steering system, a wide track and long wheelbase (114.2 inches), an electrically operated rear door, air suspension and LED taillights, and an adaptive brake light.

 

Lots of information has been leaking out about the Sfero, but apparently no decision has been made as to if the Sfero will be a four-, six- or even seven-passenger vehicle.

legat de veyron parerea mea ca este enorm de scumpa . este o masina pt cei care au bani si vor sa-si sadisfaca unele capricii ( ceasurile din bord au diamante ).

By now, you’ve probably already heard that Henrik Fisker (the guy that designed the current generation of gorgeous Aston Martins) is attempting to revive the art of coachbuilding by launching two models: Latigo CS (Based on BMW 6-Series) and Tramonto (Based on Mercedes SL55 AMG). Now just moments before their much anticipated Frankfurt debut, they’ve released new images of first two of the Fisker Coachcrafts. Pictured above is the close-up of Tramonto’s front end, check out the rest of the pics after the jump and judge for yourself.

On the IAA stand on Skoda-stand the new Octavia R in abundance in the projectors. The Czech mark also comes with a striking concept car. The world’s fastest four-door coupe comes from BRABUS and celebrates its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show IAA 2005 in Frankfurt/Main. This automobile, built in small-series production based on the Mercedes CLS model series, is powered by a 730-hp / 537-kW 6.3-liter twelve-cylinder twin-turbo engine, that was implanted with almost surgical precision into the engine bay of the four-door. The performance speaks for itself: 0 – 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds, 0 – 200 km/h in 10.5 seconds, 0 – 300 km/h in 29.5 seconds are just as unique as is the electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.

 

 

 

At the heart of this new high-performance automobile lies the V12 twin-turbo engine from the SL 600. BRABUS fits the engine with a special crankshaft, increases the cylinder bore and installs forged pistons, resulting in a displacement increase to 6,233 ccm. Further modifications include the optimization of the mixture flow in the intake and outlet manifolds of both cylinder heads as well as the installation of sport camshafts.

 

 

 

In addition the BRABUS powerplant engineers equip the engine with custom-developed larger turbochargers, more efficient intercoolers and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system with low back pressure metal catalysts and four tailpipes. Newly programmed engine electronics coordinate all new components perfectly and contribute not only to maximum power yield but also to meeting all current legal emission limits.

 

 

 

After the engine conversion, now also available for all Mercedes-Benz 600 und 65 models with twin-turbo V12, the BRABUS S V12 S Biturbo engine becomes the most powerful TÜV-tested engine from Germany: The engines puts out its maximum power of 730 hp / 537 kW at 5,100 rpm. Peak torque is 1,320 Nm, limited electronically to 1,100 Nm, available from a low 2,100 rpm.

 

 

 

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified five-speed automatic transmission and the BRABUS locking differential.

 

 

 

The BRABUS ROCKET engine and the entire drivetrain is operated with high-performance lubricants from technology partner ARAL.

 

Naturally it is essential that the unique performance the world’s fastest four-door coupe is capable of can be safely controlled at all times. To do so BRABUS has developed two special suspensions for the ROCKET: The comfort version features air suspension with automatic ride leveling. The sport version comes with a height-adjustable coil-over suspension and gas-pressure shocks with six different settings for bound and rebound on front and rear axle.

 

 

 

Maximum size and state-of-the-art materials characterize the BRABUS high-performance brake system of the ROCKET. The front axle is fitted with vented ceramics discs in size 375 x 36 mm and 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers. The rear axle features steel discs in size 355 x 28 mm and 6-piston aluminum fixed calipers to round out the powerful and faderesistant brake system.

 

 

 

The giant brakes and the enormous performance necessitate the use multi-piece BRABUS Monoblock S light-alloy wheels with 19-inch diameter. The BRABUS technology partners Pirelli and Yokohama provide the high-performance tires suitable for these highs speeds. The optimal tire/wheel combination for the BRABUS ROCKET are 8.5Jx19 wheels in front with 255/35 ZR 19 tires and 10Jx19 with 285/30 ZR 19 on the rear axle.

 

 

 

The BRABUS designers custom-developed a front apron for the ROCKET with large air inlets for optimal cooling of oil and water radiators. The shape of the front spoiler and of all other BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement parts was fine-tuned in the wind tunnel. Not only did BRABUS succeed in reducing lift on the front axle, but also in optimizing aerodynamic drag.

 

 

 

The aerodynamic counterpart to the front spoiler in the rear is the BRABUS rear spoiler lip which emphasizes the rounded design of the rear. But that’s not all: In combination with the new front apron the spoiler lip reduces aerodynamic lift, thus further improving directional stability.

 

 

 

Integrated entrance lights are the dominant feature of the BRABUS door sills and the BRABUS rear apron. Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on a door handle activates five LED lights on each side and in the rear. They illuminate the ground behind and on either side of the vehicle to further improve user-friendliness. The BRABUS rear apron is the perfect backdrop for the four tailpipes of the BRABUS high­performance exhaust system. Its integrated diffuser also contributes to the refined BRABUS aerodynamics concept for the ROCKET.

 

 

 

 

 

The interior of the BRABUS ROCKET also meets the highest expectations of the distinguishing customers of one of the world’s most exclusive automobiles. Soft and breathable BRABUS Mastik leather and Alcantara are part of the exclusive BRABUS ambiance as is the ergonomically shaped BRABUS sport steering wheel and the speedometer with 360-km/h scale.
