Avand in vedere ca m-a rugat Satori sa pun poze cu Kalos-ul care o sa vina anul viitor (de aia nu se mai gasesc Kalosi pana in februarie in RO...), am zis sa pun mai multe din noutatile GM pentru vremea ce vine. Daca mai vreti si alte modele, oricare, din concernul GM, sau date noi, nu ezitati sa ziceti. Am acces la site-ul rezervat media al lor si e incredibil ce e acolo...


O sa incep cu Kalos 4 usi si Nubira (ambele Chevrolet).

European premiere at the IAA: New Chevrolet Aveo sedan


- Dynamic four-door model: All new design

- Plenty of room for passengers and their baggage

- Efficient: Economical engines with Euro 4 standard


Frankfurt. With the new Aveo, Chevrolet has added another attractive model to its product range. The four-door notchback sedan, available with either a 1.2 or 1.4-litre engine, will be presented for the first time in Europe at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt (September 15-25, 2005). Apart from the proven engineering, the main characteristics of the new front-wheel drive model are the new modern design and the unusually large amount of space for a compact class vehicle. The newcomer (length/width/height: 4,310/1,710/1,495 mm) is set to reach the European market in spring 2006. In total, it will be sold in more than 120 countries throughout the world.


"The new Aveo fits in perfectly with our product philosophy", says Erhard L. Spranger, CEO of Chevrolet Europe. "With its no-frills design and its generous amount of room, it offers particularly young families more car for their money." This is underscored by the grown-up look of the four-door sedan. Technically, it has very little in common with its predecessor. The only elements to have been carried over are large parts of the body platform, the windshield and the front side windows. As a result, it now differs optically even more clearly from the three and five-door Kalos fastback versions.


Contours: Clear design language dominates the new look of the notchback


The Chevrolet Aveo was designed at the GM Daewoo styling centre in Korea. The most obvious expression of the new design line in this sedan is the front section, where the most striking features are the three-dimensional headlamps, which extend deeply into the engine hood and the front fenders, and the grille, which is set in chunky chrome strips. The cross-buckle with the Chevrolet emblem is a real eye-catcher in the middle. These optical elements of the Aveo front section impart a certain dynamism, as do the striking V-shaped edges of the engine hood. The hood character lines extend to the powerful-looking front bumper and, in conjunction with the black-bordered circular fog lamps, reinforce the sporty look of the four-door notchback.


The new Chevrolet Aveo therefore not only looks more dynamic than its predecessor, it is also more grown-up. This is evidenced by the stretched-looking silhouette with its rising sideline, pronounced shoulders and body-coloured door sills. It is further emphasized by the long outside door handles and the newly designed 15" wheels. The rear end of the Aveo has a clarity of structure about it. With a chrome strip traversing the entire width and boldly shaped rear lamps, it picks up some of the design cues of the front section.


Big benefits: Generous interior dimensions and a wealth of amenities


With its exterior dimensions and its wheelbase of 2,480 mm, the new Chevrolet sedan demonstrably underlines the fact that it is not among the smallest of its class. On the contrary: Its generous outside measurements are also reflected in a very generous interior. With shoulder room of 1,362 mm at the front and 1,340 mm at the back, for example, the Aveo is best-of-class. Equally impressive are the front leg room of 1,048 mm (rear: 898 mm) and the head room of 998 mm (950 mm). And when there's baggage to be transported, the Aveo trunk comes up with a volume of 400 l (VDA standard). Convenient split-folding rear seats increase the amount of space for carrying cargo considerably.


The interior of the four-door Aveo is very passenger friendly. Apart from a newly designed instrument panel and center console, a new line of fabrics for the seats and door liners govern the overall picture. Together with many features generally found in higher-end vehicles, it all adds up to a pleasant "feel-good" ambience for the passengers. The generous range of standard equipment includes automatic air-conditioning, power windows, electrically operated exterior mirrors and remote controlled central door-locking. Safety standard features include the stable passenger cell with precisely defined load paths, three-point belts on all seats, front and side airbags and belt tensioners. Thanks to the outstanding Isofix fastening system, installing child seats in the rear is nothing short of child's play.


Precision: Modern chassis design ensures safe handling


The modern chassis design of the Chevrolet sedan with McPherson struts at the front and a torsion-beam suspension at the rear is a guarantee of high travel comfort and active safety. This is added to by the wide stance of the Aveo with a front track of 1,450 mm and rear track of 1,430 mm, both among the best of class. The steering gear is mounted on the front suspension cross-member, which eliminates harshness and provides more precise and stable handling. The standard variable rack-and-pinion power steering gives the front-wheel drive sedan outstanding maneuverability. Apart from that, this technical solution provides the driver with accurate steering control in all situations and also, like the standard four-channel ABS, contributes to active safety.


Power: Top-class unit with 4-valve technology and variable air intake system


Buyers have a choice of two four-cylinder gasoline engines to power the new Chevrolet Aveo. The first has Multipoint injection and a capacity of 1,150 cm3. It generates 53 kw/72 hp and develops its maximum torque of 104 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Like its bigger 1.4-liter sister, it comes as standard with a five-speed manual transmission and complies with the Euro 4 emissions standard due to come into force in 2006. The four-valve 69 kW/94 hp engine with a maximum torque of 130 Nm at 3,400 rpm has two overhead camshafts and a variable switch intake system that ensures particularly high air throughput at low engine speeds, therefore also ensuring a high torque level.


In contrast, the MVED consumption data are very low: The 1.2-litre version needs only 6.8 litres of fuel for 100 kilometers, while the bigger unit consumes just 7.0 litres over the same distance. If combined with the optional four-speed automatic transmission, energy consumption goes up by just 0.6 l."

Oribile aeratoare, bot urat in rest o masina frumusica. Spatele este f frumos iar bordul este parca mai dragut decat cel al modelului actual cu exceptia aertoarelor care sunt infecte.

Preturi nu sunt. Info le iau de pe site-ul GM dedicat presei, deci contine comunicate de presa, poze, date tehnice etc etc. Dar nu preturi, asta deja depinde de dealeri zonali.

kalosul ala vechi arata mai bine.. dar fac exercitii de imaginatie cu un kalos cu stopuri de lacetti hatch.. si culmea.. arata bine in imaginatia mea

Magny Cours. Following its highly visible premiere at the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), Chevrolet is now taking the flair of the racetrack to the road. At the second race of the season on the French Grand Prix track in Magny Cours, the company presented the prototype of a road version of the popular racing car. The WTCC R+ concept vehicle is, like the two-liter racing version, based on the four-door Lacetti/Nubira and has been thoroughly reworked and upgraded – optically, aerodynamically and technically – under the management of Chevrolet's WTCC partner, Ray Mallock Limited. Chevrolet's motor sports boss, Eric Nève: "Even ahead of our competing in the World Touring Car Championship, many of our fans asked us whether they could buy this sporty, four-door car. The R+ is the answer to these wishes. If there is a big enough response, our Chevrolet distributors will have them in their showrooms before the end of the year.


The appearance of this sporty four-door model has a great deal in common with the sophisticated aerodynamics of the racing car. A deep front bumper with pronounced air inlets blends harmoniously into the wider front fenders. Sculpted side sills link up with the extended rear wings. In combination with the dark tinted windows, a rear spoiler and a Venturi-effect rear bumper round off the sporty look of the new car. It can be recognized by the R+ logos on the rear and on the sides of the front fenders. The plus sign was designed resembling the Chevrolet logo.


The sporty aspect has been consistently pursued in the interior. The black leather upholstery of the seats has a distinctive stitching finish. The front seats incorporate the R+ logo, as do the special footwell mats and the dash panel. All the decorative strips are finished in a satin aluminum look. From the special sports-styled steering wheel and the non-slip aluminum pads of the pedals to gearshift knob, the driver has full command of the enormous power of the sporty Lacetti. The gear-shifting itself shows how much attention was paid to the details: Firmer bushes give a more precise feel to shifting, the gearshift itself is quicker to match the increased engine response.


And power there is. A mechanically driven supercharger with a pressure of 0.5 bar developed by the Swiss specialist and Chevrolet partner, Delta-Motor, joins forces with a charged air intercooler to raise the output by more than 40 percent (previous figures in brackets): 127 kW/172 hp at 6,000 rpm (90 kW/123 hp) and 230 Nm at 4,900 rpm (165 Nm) provide surging acceleration. The Lacetti WTCC R+ touches 100km/h in around 8 sec and races on to a maximum speed of over 215 km/h. The power unit can be recognized from the R+ logos on the engine cam covers and on the distinctive tailpipe of the modified exhaust system. To ensure that the power is transmitted cleanly to the road, the R+ has a limited slip differential.


The brakes also grip faster and last longer. At the front, the Lacetti has larger-diameter 325 mm discs, and the calipers all-round are fitted with particularly fade-resistant brake pads. The four lightweight pistons of the front calipers are supplied by the British specialist Alcon and coated with silver. Good road contact is ensured by the 215/45-17 low-profile, high-performance tires. They are mounted on large 17x7 inch special alloy spoke wheels that also increase the track width.


The suspensions have also been fundamentally modified. At the front and rear, the Nubira is lowered by 30 mm, and the standard suspension link bushes have been replaced with heavier-duty items for a more spontaneous feel and sharper handling. The springs and dampers have also been uprated for the same reasons. Larger diameter stabilizers reduce body roll and contribute to the sporty driving performance. For better vision at night, the Philips Power2Night upgraded lighting gives much higher (+ 30%) range and intensity for safer driving."

"Athletic and appealing: The S3X off-road concept with seven seats


Just as the Kalos heralded the establishment of GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. (GM DAT) in South Korea only two years ago, so the Chevrolet S3X show car rings in a new era for Chevrolet in Europe, with new products designed, engineered and manufactured in South Korea. Featuring environmentally friendly hybrid technology, the S3X gives a glimpse into potential future propulsion systems.


The hybrid powertrain in the S3X show car is a belt alternator starter system (BAS). The system was developed by GM and adapted by GM Daewoo engineers to provide improved fuel economy in stop-and-go-driving by shutting the engine off at idle and enabling early fuel cutoff to the engine during decelerations. The relatively simple and affordable system replaces the conventional alternator with a combined alternator/starter and adds a 42-volt NIMH-storage battery, assisting the existing 12-volt electrical system.


Regenerative braking and optimized charging further improve fuel economy while all vehicle accessories and passenger comfort systems are maintained during the periods when the engine is temporarily shut off. Compared to conventional powertrains, the ‘mild’ hybrid set-up will have the potential to reduce fuel consumption by up to 12 per cent. GM will introduce BAS hybrid systems on high- volume SUVs and cars in the next three years.


When the production version is launched in 2006, the S3X will be the first diesel-powered Chevrolet in Europe. It will also be the first vehicle in the line-up to be developed entirely by GM DAT. The S3X also offers a preview of possible styling cues for future Chevrolet models. The eye-catching SUV (length/width/height: 4,639/1,848/1,722 mm) features powerfully flared wheel arches filled by large 20-inch wheels, striking metal inserts in the front and rear bumpers, horizontal vents in the wings and jewel-like front headlamps in which the light is diverted by cylindrical prisms. Whether open or closed, the large, louvered glass roof creates a light, roomy atmosphere inside the S3X.


In addition, the Chevrolet show car is very practical: The rear window can be opened separately to make the luggage compartment readily accessible without needing to open the rear flap.


Despite its compact size, the S3X study has room for three rows of seats – and thus seven passengers – thanks to its long wheelbase of around 2.70 metres. The design of the interior is dominated by the unusual combination of real wood and metal. The infotainment system on board the Chevrolet S3X includes a DVD-based navigation system linked to an 18cm monitor."

eu am o intrebare.. in europa oare vor mai aduce un eventual chevrolet s3x(sau cum se va numi) daca viitorul suv opel va fi bazat pe aceeasi platforma?

Viitorul SUV de la Opel (cel prefigurat de Antara GTC) mai are ceva pana apare... Cel mai devreme in 2007... Si nu va arata asa in final.

Am si inca multe. Acusica sa le sortez. Dar pe site-ul respectiv e trecut ca Chevrolet Matiz... In unele locuri e trecut ca Spark/Matiz...
